Hey everyone, welcome back! I am so excited to have you here and share with you today the secret to crushing your goals. Now I know we all have goals for our businesses and life but lets be honest sometimes you may find yourself struggling to reach them or staying focus. First off know you are not alone.
For instance, this is exactly how I felt when writing this episode. I knew the message but could not for the life of me find the words. It was extra frustrating in the fact that I managed to carve out not one but two whole consecutive hours to dedicate to it that weren’t at the crack of dawn or the wee hours of the night! I freaking miracle, right?! And yet there I was at the end of those two hours nowhere near to being done. Seriously despite my best efforts I barely had an intro done and not even recorded! As I packed up my things, I was so frustrated I wanted to throw things. In my mind I was screaming, “I just wasted two hours of my life! Do you know what else I could have spent that time on?! Are you kidding me? Oh, my goodness.” However, despite my frustration I put a smile on my face as I entered the building to pick up my kids. It wasn’t their fault that I just wasted two hours of my life. I punched in the code and opened the door to my one-year old’s room and watch as her face just lit up as she saw it was me. And if that moment was perfect already, she proudly let go of the bench she was holding on to and walked confidently to me! This was a big deal!! She has been walking like a champ while holding onto our hands for the past few weeks but has taken very few steps solo. No more! Now she is a fearless walking little girl. I was just beaming with pride as I knelt there hugging her. And then it clicked. In that moment I knew exactly how to write this episode because it was all about moments just like this.
You know those moments where everything just clicks into place, the fog has lifted and the view is clear. Yes, I am talking about the aha moments or clarity.
For the last month I have watched my little girl tirelessly try to walk, no matter how many times she fell she would get back up and try again. She knew exactly what she wanted, perfect clarity.
That is it! That is the secret to not getting stuck, being lost or unfocused. Its clarity because when you know EXACTLY what you want you take it to a new level.
Now you can do this for anything in your life but let’s use your business as an example.
In your business you need to get clear, crystal clear, like in a deep, real authentic way about:
Now if you are like me and struggle with this a little imagine you are having this conversation with your toddler whose favorite question is WHY? Just keep asking yourself why and before you know it you will find the root of the answer to those questions.
When you know the answers to these questions – in a deep way – not surface stuff, but really digging in and laying it down. getting yourself ridiculously clear on YOUR message and YOUR mission in the world.
Then, only then can you truly begin creating the business of your dreams. Because there will be no question left in your mind.
Now, you can get to work before you get clarity, we do that all the time. But let me tell you.. being CLEAR moves things forward so much faster because you won’t be wasting your time doing stuff that isn’t perfectly aligned with where you want to go and How you want your business to contribute to the world.
It’s like staying with that job that pays the bills and is alright but doesn’t make you excited to go to work every day!
Honestly, feeling freaking amazing and over the moon inspired about your business is the biggest motivator. A MUCH bigger motivator than “making money”
So that’s why I think that for your business or ANY big goal that you want to accomplish you need to take the time to get CLARITY, to get clear about what it is that you really want, deep at the core of your being. It will make a huge difference in getting you motivated to make your dreams a reality.
